both cards you wanted to get are in dusts at the moment, trust me your build seems fine with a good processor and a very good memory, why dont u get a much better video card and make it a real gamin machine ( high / mediocore ), instead of putting one low end video card and wastin ur system specs,

Nvidia 8800GTS / GTX are flying at the moment, try to get the 8800gts if you could, if not atleast go for Nvidia 7950GT, bro trust me, anything less you buy, you're just wasting money, in abt 3 months, even current SLI and Crossfire setups wud be forgotten, those DX10 cards are the crowned ones ...... go for a king, instead of a kitten ( Nvidia 7600GT ). if you could spend a bit more why not spend, its just ur investing in yourself, which u'll be happy when the newest games come out !

answer for you - in your question, i would recomend 7600gt if thats what you want to get.

hope my answer helped

The second one is far far better than running the first in SLI. But get this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130073 it is the same card but a few dollars cheaper. The only difference is that it has 2 DVIs instead of 1 DVI and 1 VGA.

to make it simple, goto www.tomshardware.com for video benchmarks. that will give you an idea of what to except out of the video cards. goto www.newegg.com for prices. I would suggest something like a Radeon X1950 Pro. SLI (or crossfire) really doesn't increase the speed unless running at very high resolutions (like 2048x1600+).
And note: for most games, it's the video card that is the most important part.

You would be better off getting your second choice the 7600gt, for it is newer generation card.

Get one 7600GT -or- get two 7600GS cards -or- get one 7900GS. Anywho, that's how I see it.
