Yes.
A president that speaks his honest opinion without any concern of political backlash - how refreshing would that be?
I strongly suspect he lost his democratic base when they threw him under the bus for speaking about some of the positive things he witnessed when he visited Iraq.
However, I doubt he will join the crowd presently (and prematurely) running for president.
