if i want to film part of my independent film in the street do i need permission? what about the park? in front of an apartment complex? can i just film anywhere? the beach? next to a church? i don't want to end up in court!!! please clarify for my how much freedom i have and what i need to look out for when making an independent film in a place other than my house and car. thanks yall, live long and watch my movies someday. thanks

You must go to City Hall and get a permit to film in most locations. If it's private property, such as in front of an apartment building, then you just get the owner's permission. You usually only have to have a permit to film anywhere a street must be closed or the path of pedestrians must be altered and most always inside the city limits. Check with City Hall to be sure :-)
