It cannot sustain itself without heavily raising taxes or severely cutting benefits. Heavily raising taxes will destroy our economy, severely cutting benefits will enrage those who have become addicted to them. There is no pretty solution to 60 years of government expansion.

Very confident in the system which was designed by the founders to work. Not as confident as I would like to be in the politicians running it. Particulary after the elections of last November have returned power to a party whose hatred of big business have driven most US manufacturing firms over seas. Funny how the Labor Unions who for years told their members that big business was their enemy and the Liberals who stated big business was the ruination of this country are now missing all those jobs they used to provide.

its going down. failure in foreign and internal policies. it needs a total revamp than just scratching the surface
