I do electronic installs, and repairs. I own my own company, and yes, I'm about as happy as if I had "good sense", LOL.

I'm an elementary school teacher. I suppose you are asking if I'm happy with the job? Well... there are days and then there are DAYS! Some are more rewarding than others, so here's a list of pros and cons.
Pros:
I'm shaping young minds; that is about as rewarding as work gets.
I enjoy the innocence and wonder of children.
Sometimes when a child "gets it" you can see it all over their face. It just lights up and that is something to see!
Cons:
I'm a grunt. Nobody respects my opinion about what works with children and what doesn't work, when trying to teach them. Politicians who have never taught anyone anything are deciding curriculum. NCLB is like one size fits all pantyhose! The curriculum is impossibly high. It frustrates me and the children.
There are too few supportive parents. Most just consider me the babysitter until report cards come out. Then they consider me their personal whipping post because their children didn't make the grade.
I see abuse and neglect you don't even want to imagine.
I am easy prey to every cold and flu virus going around at any moment. Why can't parents teach their children to cover their mouths and noses when they cough and sneeze? You wouldn't believe the number of direct hits I get in the face on a daily basis.
My work day NEVER ends. I go to bed thinking about that report I need to write, those plans I need to write, that test I need to draft, the conference I must stay after school to have, the papers that need grading, the money I'll need to spend to support my lessons or classroom management...
I have 10 years of experience and make less than $50K a year. Basketball players make...
Am I happy?

I run my own business, and I am happy. I actually want to wake up and go to work in the morning! My husband runs his own business too...we are a couple of grinning idiots cause we both love working for ourselves! Sometimes it is tiring, but it's a good kind of tired.

...good question....
I work in an office handling lots of ppwk and I am pretty much bored to tears as I prefer something alot more challenging. However, I am a single mom and my boss is very flexible with me for all kinds of kid things that come up...school, illness, personal appts. That flexibility is what keeps me right where I am at.........for now.

I'm a homemaker, so I don't get paid (monetarily speaking anyway), but I do get rewarded by having a happy hubby because his "castle" is always clean, and his clothes are always clean, and he has warm, tasty dinners. It was always my dream to be able to do this, so yeah, I'm happy. :)
