A lot of women have tattoo's these days but not when I was
growing up. I do not have any yet but am considering a small one.

one is a peace dove, the logo of the local domestic violence shelter that saved my life.
The other is a Jesus fish, the logo of the Man who allowed the domestic violence shelter to save my life.

I have 3 tattoo's. My favorite is a read phoenix on my left shoulder blade. The reason I love it so much is because my sister and I have the same tattoo and the same spot and got it done the same day. It holds a special moment for me in my life. So, go for it small or large but do it... It's a good experience to encounter once in our lifetime....

i have 2 and my favorite is a artist doing freehand stuff not off some stick sheet and the hotest tattoo is hands down on the small of a girls back done with the right tattoo

i have a heartagram for my favorite band on my right ankle. It is also to remind me of the two weeks i spent in finland (the bands home country)
on my other ankle i have a tiny little casket with two intertwining hearts in it (go to yahoo picture search and type in "funeral of hearts" if you want to see it) just cause i thought it was a cool symbol. it also reminds me that dispite how badly my last relationship ended, i did learn alot from it, and now know what i am doing in my currant relationship.
to all the people who are telling her not to, im so glad you gave reasons not to...note the sarcasm...she wanted to know how many you had, not to knock her down for wanting one.
girl, think long and hard about what you want. make sure you find a good artist. i have a friend who keeps getting shitty tattoos cause she keeps going to the same place, where the three tattoo artists have a combined total experience of about 15 years. a good artist should have at least 10 years of experience by himself, if not more. in fact, more is better. alot of places have a website with examples of their artists work. check out places near you online, and if you see something that catches your eye, go in and check it out. some places require that the artist has to aprove the design before hand so they can tell you what they might need to change to make it work where ever you want it on your body. its also good to go in and check a place out to see what they will and will not do. for example, someplaces will not tattoo the back of someones neck, or the top of someones foot.
oh, and most important of all, dont get a tattoo exactly like someone elses, just cause they have it, and you like them or something. those tend to be the ones you regret.

I got one finally while on a trip to Thailand. Great work too. The deal is to find something you are happy with, because you have to live the rest of your life with it. Other than that, tattoo's are sexy as hell on you ladies!
Have fun, and make sure you get some A+D cream for it when its healing. It really does make a difference.

I have none, and would recommend that you try a temporary "henna" tattoo before you commit to the real thing. The nicest one I have seen is on a friend who had a pretty dolphin tattoed on her lower back, just above the top of her bikini bottom.

Get one that means something to you.
I have a foot x a foot one on my chest. Three climbing roses with my kids names wrapped around the roses. The big one for the oldest, almost opened one for the middle kid, and a bud for my youngest. Each of the boys picked out the color of there rose.
I would like to get two more, one a eagle feather, one a owl feather. Each of these I have my own reason for wanting them.

I don't have one, but if I ever do get one, I want to get one of those little Christian fish signs printed in the small of my back. I could use it as a witnessing tool, especially now that jeans are cut so low!
