have you noticed in the newspapers that they report things like 198,000,000 people watched the last episode of 'How to Kill a Sardine' on TV last Wednesday?
Do you know how they do that?
They have 1,000 people sitting at home with a diary who fill in everything they watch on TV.
If, for example, 76% of those 1,000 people watched the programme, then they presume that 76% of the entire population watched it.
They know what the population is so they can work it all out.
Going by that - I just did my own survey.
There are two people in my house right now.
Me and my wife.
We are both right handed.
0% are left-handed.
This means that in the entire world - there are no left-handed people whatsoever.

Currently about 10%. Scientists think that the human race originally was 50% either way, but when Nimrod developed the first empire, he did so by training and army and forcing them all to use the same hand (so they didn't accidentally whack the ally next to them.) Apparently, Nimrod was right handed.
