this is our first baby and we know that we're having a baby boy. we've decided on the name Ethan Donald. but i want other people's oppion on the name. does it sound good or should we think of something different. i picked ethan out because i've always thought that it was a cute name. and my boyfriend pick out donald as the middle name because it was grandfathers name. so i just want to know what other people think of the name Ethan Donald.

It is a great name. Plus the fact that you put some thought in to it and it is named after a family member is always good. Pick a name that you love. I wish you the best of luck.

I think Etahn is a great name! :] I have a family member named Ethan. Is Donald part of his name like a double name or is that his middle name? If his name is Ethan alone its darling, but Ethan Donald together is a little over the top. I hope this advice helps.

Donald doesn't really sound right with the name Ethan. But I like the name Ethan a lot. A cool name for a boy is Hayden.

I have two problems with this name:
1) It's on the top 10 for 2006. Why would you want your child to go to a school where there are 5 other Ethans in his class and 50 other Ethans in his school?
2) What go strangers have to offer to your name-picking process? If you AND your partner love the name, use it! To heck with what the public thinks!

It has a good ring to it. I really like the name Ethan but I wouldn't choose Donald as a favourite. Considering it is a family name though, I would go for it. I also like, Ethan James or Ethan Lane. I know, the last one sounds like a street! Whatever you like, go for it. Both names sound good together.

I dont think Donald sounds good with Ethan, I dont wanna hurt your feelings or anything I just dont think they are good together. I think maybe you should save the name Donald for another son or this one Donald Ethan sounds a little better though.

I like it but then I liked the name I picked out for my son until he was born then when he was born he did not look like what he thought so he got two totally different names and now when I lookback he would never have suited the names we first thought he would. Make sense? probable not, wait till he is born and see if he still looks that an Ethan Donald if he does go for it. Ethan Hawk is a toal babe so need I say more?????????????

I like it a lot. Ethan is a great name, and Donald holds a lot of meaning and tradition, since it's in the family, so I think you've made a good choice!

I think the names are up to the parents, but I really like Ethan Donald as it honours his grandfathers name. I think its great!

I think Ethan Donald is a nice name. My husbands name is Donald, after his father. He isn't a big fan but he goes by his middle name.
If you son goes by Ethan I think all is well.
