What is happening on Ugly Betty?

I just tuned in last night (feb. 1) and they were talking about the murder of Alex? could somebody please tell me what's going on?

You should check out abc.com. All the episodes of Ugly Betty are available to watch online for free. It is really nice for people who don't have Tivo or a DVR. The new episodes aren't available until the next day, but it's better than never.

Bradford Meade had Alex (she used to have controlling interest of Mode Magazine) killed after having an affair with her for many years. Killing her solved two problems:

1. He got controlling interest in the magazine &
2. She was in love with him and was threatening to tell his wife who would have surely cracked with this news so shortly after the suicide of her oldest son

Alex survived but has been in rehabilitation with the help of Wihlamena who has been promised the Editor in Chief job for her loyalty once she (Alex) regains her power.

During Alex's (revealed as Rebecca Romaijn) rehabilitation she has also finally amassed the concrete proof she needed to prove that Bradford tried to have her killed. She is a lover scorned and Bradford has no idea what is coming. Unfortunately Daniel and Betty will be in the way of her wrath once she reveals herself.

I haven't watched tonights episode - but I can't wait.

I had thought the blonde was really Faye, the woman Bradford had an affair with, but after watching tonight, "she" told Daniel that she is his brother, er sister. I wasn't aware Alex had been murdered, I thought he died in an accident.
