You can do a Disk Cleanup, then Defrag
If your running Norton, it's probably the sole problem!!!!

For maintenance you should disk cleanup and then defrag....
Start/Programs/System Tools and they're both there.

If it's still slow - you can try run disk cleanup again, but check on the tab for options. There you'll find, "delete all but last restore point". Be careful though - make sure you can boot - because it will delete all of your restores BUT the last one.... so you only have one place to restore from.....it frees up a lot of space though.

defrag, check for errors, check disk space, erase unused files or burn to disk.
