Lets face it. It ain't. In a real sport the outcome isn't known before the proceedings begin. And whats up with those ghastly chick wrestlers acting... Ghastly?

My great Granny Barr, bless her heart, always believed that the moon landings were all fake...but that pro "rasslin" was just as real and serious as could be.

You know...it tells you something about this country when you consider that...after years of defending itself against accusations that it was all fake, and after years of insisting that it was, indeed, a real competitive sport...when professional wrestling finally just acknowledged that all the matches were "scripted" and that the outcome of a match was never really in doubt...it became much more popular than it had ever been.

I don't watch football, basketball, hockey, baseball, volleyball, etc etc. I do how ever watch wrestling, and I have watched it since 1972. I think wrestling no matter how fake it is should have never been dropped from being called a sport. I went into wrestling in 1997, we work just as hard as anyone in the nfl, nba, etc etc. an athlete n. one trained in an endever requiring physical ability. wrestlers are trained sometimes for two years before entering the ring. why not call them athletes in a sport? after you have been in training and been in the ring then see how you feel about it. people that have no idea can run their mouths all day. and as for the women of wrestling today. the wwe has took it upon themselves to hire women they find and feel sorry for as they pass the corners in the cities they perform in. they are not interested in wrestling anymore when it come to the women. and all tna has is wwe rejects, jackie gayda, jaculin, the chinese girl were all let go from wwe.

Well, that's kind of a hard question to answer, because, while yes, it's scripted, a lot of things could go wrong, such as in the DX vs Rated-RKO match at New Year's Revolution. They basically winged it as they went along after H's injury. Also, while some of the moves don't hurt nearly as much as they pretend they do, those are real chairs, and that's real blood pouring from them. As such, while it's not a real sport per say, it is very physical and just as much, if not more, demanding as any other sport.

You have some truth to your question. Most of the matches are planned out but then again so are not & then you have your interference so no you really don't know what the outcome is going to be & neither do the one's who make the matches they just plan them & hope they turn out right.
But yes I consider wrestling a sport because you have hands on combat, dented weapons, and sometimes REAL injuries.

everbody know's that wrestling is scripted out, i mean yeah you can read the scipt before the show. But to put your body through all the extreme things they do you would think it's a real sport. But it's more of soap opera

It isn't; it's actually scripted. the bruises are real but the outcome was alrerady pre-determined. My father is friends with booker T and Booker layed it down for him. Booker told him that the Pay-per-view matches were the only actual fights that were legit wrestling matches.

WWE is more of a soap opera for guys than a sport. Competitive wrestling is a sport.

Definitely NOT a sport. More like vaudeville. When I think of wrestling, I think of wrestlers, not "rasslers."
