I would use a stainless steel cleaner. It comes in a air-sovl spray can, you can pick it up at a part's store Like; Napa Auto Store's, Checker's Auto, welley's, Menard's and Home Depo. After you get the product it really easy, follow the direction on the back of the can. It should say something like this: Spray onto the surface to be cleaned and use a soft rag and in a circular motion. Rub until it buffs out any dirt. After this it sould leave a nice shine, plus it helps to protect the metal from rusting and creating a proecting coat. Hint: You do not want to use a sander or grinder unless you know what your doing. Because these things could overheat and burn causing it to leave tarished look like a rainbow, mostly purplish and dark blue in coloring. If this happen you can not possibly fit it, and the Stainless Steel is scrap. This is because Stainless Steel has a high senativity to heat, and could damage the metal.
There is one other way to clean Stainless Steel. Which you could use ashes. you would mix it with a little bit of water, to create a paste. Apply it to the surface with circular motion and rub it in. Let the ash water paste dry. Then use a clean soft dry rag and rub the surface clean until it shine and the ash is clear from the surface. This is a simple and money saving way to clean Stainless Steelin in a such matter. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN. It's easy, but take your time, and don't rush yourself.
