My hometown was about 450 if you include the surounding farms

once you get up to 800 though there starts to be a several restaurants, gas stations, stores....not just one of each. There's still no traffic lights though until at least a few thousand

No more than 5,000 people. And only one red light, one gas station, and a mom and pop grocery store.

most small towns don't have Mcdonalds, Arby's or Burger King

ALso won't have a Target or Walmart, Usually only have one or two gas stations to.
