once you get here you'll meet lots of great friendly people and get to experience what this great country has to offer, and then you'll forget about missing your friends so much,

I dont know whether you will read this or not because im pretty late in responding to your additional comments. But just keep your mind on other things for now or hang out with your friends as much as you can. You sound quite young, when i was 16 i went to the phillippines for three months i missed my friends alot but i had the best time of my teenage life, when I got back yes my friends did change and it wasnt the same as when id left and that really sucked. But you got to get used to it because thats life and it never stays the same, you might be lucky your friendships might have changed for the better. so good luck, im australian and i guarantee that once you get on the plane you will forget all about missing your friends, you will just be really excited to get here

You can call them can't you whilst you are away, and if not its only a few weeks. Have fun, enjoy your time there and don't worry so much.

If your friends are real friends they should be real pleased to see you when you return and be the same as before.

There wil many times in life when you have to be apart from friends and family, its sad but the feeling you get when you return is real nice.

Have a wonderful time.

"missing" your friends. Have a wonderful, fabulous time there,

You need to get over this separation anxiety at least once. And if you learn to control your emotions, then this is not going to be a problem in the future. 2 weeks will be over before you even know it.

Australia is a beautiful country. It is summer here now and really hot. I live in Brisbane and it is a beautiful city. Write to your friends and buy them small gifts. You really will love my country and settle here easily. We are all very friendly
