Some think it takes away their freedom to express themselves in what they like in tastes of patterns. Our doctor wants us to wear matching solid colors. The doctor is required to pay for lab jackets only under OSHA regulations.

I agree with you, I like to choose what I wear each day. Most people do. My facility is thinking of going to color coded uniforms,
to help patients identify personnel, most of us don't want it and are going to try and petition for our freedom. Good Luck!!

If you're wearing a lab jacket anyway, all that we're talking about is the slacks that go under that jacket. Opt for scrubs that match the lab jackets. Comfortable, easy to wash, and hassle free. Save your individuality for your off-hours.

From a patients perspective -it's already no fun having to be there. If everyone is wearing the same thing it takes the individuality out of who we are talking to and dealing with. Makes them seem less like actual "people" I guess.
