I have the other side of this question - a friend set up a wireless modem on my mac, which requires others to use a password. I have a new computer I'd like to add on, but I don't remember the password. How do I find it? Or change it?
Thanks!

Your password really doesn't make sense. You put your password in the wireless router ..... and then you need to input the password into the laptop... so a laptop without the password can't access your system......
The only computer that can access it automatically is the desktop that the router is connected to (typically) If you put your password in the router - only computers that have the password entered can access.

You should set up either WEP or WP security and instead of worrying about a password use I Filtering on your modem. Assign your computers a static IP address and only include those two IP addesses.

you WAP it by putting in a 10 digit security.. The best trick is to use a phone number of a relative.
