you actually don't find out...they open the trunk but never show us who's inside...I think the main point of the episode was that it was "someone" in the trunk and it shouldn't have mattered whether it was the white girl or the black boy...they were both equally important...hope that helps! :)

Being that the only person assigned to the boys case was Vivian and it was Elena that called in the positive identity of the victim I'm gonna say that's where they found the girl.
