If it's a choice between the two, I say Meera. It's easier to read and pronounce and teachers and classmates won't try to call her Ing-guh.
However, Meera would be taunted "Meera, Meera, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"

I like Meera 1) because it has a good and confident meaning to it and 2) because it sounds a little more feminine that Inge

Meera means "look over here" in Spanish. Still, it's a pretty name...different.

I don't like Inge, mainly because people will call her Minge (pronounced Minj, which mean a girl's front bottom) Meera is better.

I write a lot of stories and to find names for my female characters, I go to Google.ca and type in 'Top 100 Girls Names', a website should come up about England and Wales, click on that and a list of the most popular girls names in the past five to six years will be in a big list =)
