the first thing that should be done is you should have the oil pressure checked. to see if it actually low or if the sensor is acting up.. It is not uncommon for the sensor to go bad and cause problems like this. If you check it and it is actually low then you either have a pump problem or worn out bearings. if the car has high mileage and a bearing problem you can buy some time by putting in thicker oil but this is not a fix it will just help you get some more life out of your car.

Oil light will come on as a result of low oil pressure. In your situation when the car comes to an idle and the engine is warmed up the oil is at it's thinnest and the oil pump is running slow due to the idle this is partially why the light comes on. The oil pressure sending unit could be failing but I doubt it. The car is a 94 and you probably have 200,000 miles or so on it and so the engine is going to be worn. A worn engine has greater tolerances between the moving parts thus the oil escapes more readily causing the drop in pressure. Don't run any oil lighter than 10-30 preferably something like a 15-40 would be better. Not the end of the world. Make sure your idle is not too slow check the spec, I would think it should be about 800 rpm.

Sounds like your oil pump is losing it's supply pressure or your oil pressure switch is failing. The higher RPMs probably raise the pressure so that the switch goes off. Could be the switch or the pump.
Potentially pretty serious problem. An undetected oil pump problem can take out an engine. I would get it looked at and repaired.

that means at idle the engine has low oil presser, if you can turn the idle up just a teeny bit the light may not come on anymore but if the car is automatic and you turn it up to much it will try to go faster by its self when you put it in drive. p.s its a import so it should still last a long time like that, those little 4 cylinders can take hell. i know some ppl who had a 198? camry in a gravel pit that i got running for them, it had a 4 cylinder in it, after they beat the hell out of it they put a rock on the gas pedal to blow the engine, the top of the radiator blew off and the engine got hot and ceased but after it cooled down for a couple mins it would start up they did that over and over even after loosing oil they could not kill the engine.

Your car has low oil pressure. It sounds like you should have the pressure checked out at a repair shop

you do not have enough oil pressure or oil pressure switch is bad if it is oil pressure you are looking at trouble, try using a heavier oil , if it works you have a worn engine replace or fix it
