Nope, neither one. They can not win the electoral college.

Hillary: No. While she has strong support within the Democratic Party, she has very little appeal outside the party's core. In order to get elected, one needs to appeal to independents and some Republicans, and Clinton does not have that appeal.

Barack: His biggest asset is that he's a very likeable guy and gives good speeches. He doesn't have the negative ties to the last Clinton Administration that Hillary has, and there doesn't appear to be anything in his past that's particularly scandalous. That could make him electable.

No, Hillary is not electable. If the Democrats are dumb enough to nominate her, they can basically write off any chance they have of getting any votes in the South or the West outside of the Pacific Coast.

Obama might be, but the Democrats would be better served by nominating someone from a "red" state or someone from the West, a la Bill Richardson.

Sure, both are electable. First they have to be nominated by the Democratic Party as the candidate. Then they would have to win the vote of the Electoral College! The Electoral College would probably find a bunch of hanging chads & be unable to decide, ask the Supreme Court to decide & since they are mostly appointed by the Republicans, they would decide that a Republican had won the election! President Gore could tell you all about how that works!

I think that Hillary definitely is, and Obama has a year and a half to distinguish himself and become a viable candidate. What I see happening is for a Clinton/Obama ticket in 08 and I think people may be fed up with repuglicans enough to vote democratic or not vote.

Hopefully neither will get anywhere in the presidential race.
