variables are the letters
constants are the numbers by themselves
reason it is called a constant is because the number does not change.
variable can be different numbers depending on the problem.

Souds like part of a word problem.
A constant is something that doesn't change.
So a digit decreased by a constant amount would be written as D-N, where D is your digit and N is the constant amount that it is decreased by.
If you read the whole question you'll probalby find that this is equal to something, and you're suppoesd to find what D and N are, from the information given.

Constant numbers are those numbers, values of which never change. The numbers we use in arithmatic like -1,-2 0,2.5.935 etc etc are all constant numbers because their values are always fixed.
in contrast, we use some letters like a,b,x,y etc. etc.which donot have any fixed value and if in one problem the value of x is say 4,in the next problem it may be say one hundred thousand
Because of this charactristic, these are also called variables
in short all digits and all numbers formed by the digits from 0 to 9 are constants

LOL I answered a similar question with a better response, which I hope you will read , its not in depth, since I tried to keep it simple, but you might find some keywords, that relate to your question. Immediate response though to what you are proposing specifically is an idea that you may find interesting........ "The many-worlds interpretation" and "Twin Flames" - if you are interested and look into them specifically, you will find yourself all over the place with theories and so on. A twin flame is a single soul that represents the so-called “other half” of yourself (actually “other whole” is more accurate, as your twin flame is a sovereign being in his/her own right). When souls were originally differentiated from the whole, they split into pairs and then split again and again until they became billions of fragments of the original coded pair. One member of each original soul pair almost always remains in higher dimensions to guide while the other member explores lower worlds. Here is a link to the answer I had earlier. If I am totally off , I take critism well, and if that is the case please do tell.

A constant, for example, is a number in an equation that does not change while the variable number(s) in the equation do change.
1. Let's say that h= the height of a certain woman wearing shoes.
2. Her height without shoes is 5 feet. Let's call her height "w" so that w = 5 feet.
3. Let's say she has lots of shoes of different heights and we will represent her shoe heights as "s".
The equation for her height with shoes is: h=w+s
h= w+s = 5 feet plus 1 inch when she is wearing the 1 inch shoes.
h= w+s = 5 feet plus 2 inches when she is wearing the 2 inch shoes.
h= w+s = 5 feet plus 3 inches when she is wearing the 3 inch shoes.
"s" is the variable part of the equation because it is the part that changes (varies).
"w" is an example of a constant number because it stays the same in the equation.
