I am reposting this cuz somehow it was posted in marriage..
I am so at the end of my rope with my living situation and I feel like I am gonna snap. I hate my landlady, she owns the house and lives there. I hate my one roommate that flipped out on my last night because I wouldn't take her somewhere. I just hate all of it! I love my roommate Rich and we are gonna get an apartment together but until we save the money and find a place we have to deal with a landlady that keeps us up at night making noise and a roomie that is a ghetto ***** and is taking out her frustrations on us. We have talked to the landlady and she sides with the ghetto *****. basically me and my roomie are kind and respectful and we live with ignorant savages. I know we have to get out asap but we need to find a place and save for the sec deposit and such. Anyone have any tips on calming myself down since I have pent up rage and frustration and I can even call home a home since it's so far from a refuge. Please help

meditate for a few minutes.

Imagine that you have found the perfect apartment. You live there now. You are so happy and the apartment is cheerful and full of pretty things that you enjoy.
You love the street you live on and have plenty of parking just what you wanted. There are trees and flowers and it's exactly like you want.
Then you get to know a few neighbors and they are just exactly the types you wanted to live near. You and they are very happy to be living near each other.
Visualize all that you desire. It will be real soon enough. Just do that over and over until you can make it come true.

Best of luck,

1. Back out of a couple of the clubs. Only do your favorite thing(s). 2. The smell of lavender is amazing. Get some lavender lotion or oil and it will calm you down. 3. Make time for yourself. - Take a hot bath at least every other day. 4. Eat healthfully 5. Get at least 7 hours of sleep every night 6. Do NOT use caffeine. This overworks your body and makes you more tired in the long run. 7. Get exercise - even a 15 minute walk a day will do amazing things for stress levels. :) :)

That you have a a great roommate Rich and that you have plans of moving out should be enough reason you shouldn't snap. Think about it. Other people's situations are hopeless but you can be looking forward to a greater future.

calm down first of all, as I can see your best bet till you can leave is hang out with the other roomie as much as possible , stay away as much as you can, do the hot bath in candle-light thing and last, but not least you could pray, dont gossip about them,, that will only make you more frustrated, you know fuel the fire, I have lived with many people , and alot of the time ended up with the same mind, I just could not take another secound, I hope you find peace and a home soon. su

Try taking some valarium/cammomile capsules. Their cheap and over the counter.... Valarium is where valium comes from.... so it's very calming but gentle... just kind of relaxes you. I take it a lot before bed. They have tea too - but valarium smells terrible so I wouldn't drink the tea. My husband likes it though.

The description of your happy group reminds me of a sign above a doorway. It was where our mentally unstable group would hold meetings every Tuesday.

WHY ARE WE ALL HERE?
BECAUSE WE'RE NOT ALL THERE.

Grab Rich and get a room for the weekend. Do what ever you want to and then go back and start saving.
