What makes females jealous of other females? Is it just looks or more? What kind of looks?

it's human nature to be competitive even in the slightest bit. I don't know anyone who can say they are 100% content with their life at this exact moment and even if you are, you always kind of long for the things you don't have or the things you could improve on. It's beyond looks, or wealth, it could be anything. I know i have had the tendency to get jealous when my boyfriend talks to another girl, she doesn't have to be pretty and she's usually not ( she's usually just a coworker) but I get a little spiffed sometimes esp. if she makes him laugh and he says Hilda is hilarious. I guess it's bcus i want to be the only one he finds funny or interesting. with looks, women tend to be judgmental when it comes to other women, it's bcus we all have a little insecurity, you see a girl with long hair while you have a pixie cut, it may be gorgeous but seeing her hair makes you second guess yourself. somebody who has greener eyes than you do... or prettier eyes than your boring brown. i think a lot of it has to do with the ideals that society and the media puts on what is beautiful that makes woman second guess themselves even if they are drop dead gorgeous there is going to be a point when they will see someone else and look at themselves. Then of course there are the girls who think they are better than everyone else and so they think they can put people down but they second guess themselves as well. so there you have it... if the media didn't put such emphasis on beauty standards and trends and what makes someone cool, i think a lot less people would be less insecure but it would never go away completely bcus sadly it's human nature to be competitive and at some point competition breeds jealousy and also it's not always the people witgh low self-esteem or insecurity bcus eveyrone does it even little comments or dirty looks... the most head strong and confident person couldn't say they were never jealous of someone else. it's just bad when it becomes catty which women have the tendency to be.

Many things...but I think it all goes back to competition back when humans were more tribal. The females that had the strongest men were taken care of. The others? ...not so much. So now, we;re jealous little bitches about everything. Guys do the same thing, just in differnt ways. Always trying to 1 up the others.

It's not looks, though that's what it appears (no pun intended), it's not money, it's not anything but insecurity, pure and simple. I've had beautiful friends who didn't think they were because they were insecure, happens all the time.

And I'm going to ruin that insight ; ) by getting corny and quoting Sheryl Crow: "It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you've got."

We see eye to eye on this. I really do not know but I think that it is because there is something that she has that you do not.For example, she might have abeach house or maybe even love, while you don't have niether...hope that your jealousy gets over!

females get jealous when they don't have the thing that other's do have....ofcourse not all have jealous,it depends on the female,i have to confess most of the women r jealous by nature

not looks, it's insecurity.
if you are insecure, you will think other girls are prettier than you, and you will get jealous or you might want more money bc they are richer.
but if you're confident with who you are, then there's no way you can get jealous bc you are fine with the way you look or how much money you have.
