Imbedded does not mean "in bed with". It is usually
used as a missile might become imbedded in an
object; or after a tornado, a straw could be imbedded
into a telephone pole; and that kind of thing.

Imbedded simply means "to be placed inside of." Example: reporters are placed inside of a troop unit in Iraq. They live breath, eat and sleep with that unit and report from inside, not outside of the unit.

Imbedded means to sink or lay, as in a bed; to deposit in a partly inclosing mass, as of clay or mortar; to cover, as with earth, sand, etc. I don't know of it's meaning meaning anything that would get you into trouble. I hope this helps.

to me it means ,something is deep under the skin. so i guess it could mean to enclose closely:to place or fix firmly in surrounding matter. and it's spelled embedded!
my oversight, imbedded is a variation of embedded.

Maybe your thinking of imbibed, which means to drink or to take in. So yes, you can get into trouble if you imbibe too much.
