Hi All,
I am now 10 weeks pregnant and have told a few people I work with, however nearly everyone now knows even though I was going to try and hold off a few more weeks. At our scan at 6 weeks we had a heart beat of 119 and all our measurements were excellent. Do you think I am fairly safe to start telling everyone?

normal heart rate for a baby is 120-160
I'd wait until you were past your safe mark, which is 14 weeks, but if you can't keep it in, then go for it.

I tell everyone at 12 weeks, but that is a personal and possibly a bit of a superstitious thing. My BF, we always tell each other straight away.
However, this time I will be 10 weeks on my birthday and am going for the first scan that day. If everything is fine I will tell immediate family that night because it will be very obvious anyway if I am not drinking on my birthday.
Everyone else, ie other friends, family and work people I wait until after the 12 week mark.
It's hard to keep such exciting news to yourself isn't it!!??

well at 12weeks is more the time 2 tell everyone cause u know after 12weeks there is meant 2 be less danger for the baby but if u know and feel everything is all going well then a would say go a head and tell who ever u want 2 tell lol but i didnt a told most of my family that i am pregnant as soon as i found out then it spread basically all over town lol with a few days because of my sisters and that who are very exited about it and that now am nearly 12weeks pregnant

I was 5 weeks when I told my mum and my sister, 7 weeks when I told my boss and supervisor and fiance's parents. At 10 weeks I had to have an emergency ultrasound (which was fine). I'm 12 weeks now, and my fiance wants to tell everyone (hes' been wanting to and spilling it to certain ppl for about 5 weeks now). Personally, I'm going to wait til 13/14 weeks or until ppl start askin'!
i wouldn't tell too many ppl just yet, maybe your parents and immediate family and your own children(if u have any).

You should do what you feel like doing I mean things can happen at 10 to 13 weeks as well as 30 weeks.My daughter went into labor at 32weeks and 4 days so yea shout it out you have been blessed by God with the best gift in the world and you take care of yourself and the new bundle of joy!Many blessings to you and your family.

After you see a scan with a heartbeat your chance of miscarriage decreases greatly. I would go ahead and share your joy.

I wouldn't worry about your co-workers as much as your immedate boss. I would go to iVillage.com and look through some of their articles about when it is best to let the cat out of the bag. Congrats, though!

I would just tell my closest friends and family members.
