I hate to say it but it doesn't matter. If you start downloading video and uploading video you will run out of memory quickly unless you buy something like a dual processor Mac valued at about $10,000 or an Avid or Silicon Graphics Workstation which would get the job done for only 20 or 30 thousand.

You could just take video on your cell phone and use any type of PC or Mac with the minimal software but it would have much less picture and sound quality than what you could do with a good camera and a good pc or Mac.

enable me preface by affirming that i'm an approved Dell and HP Reseller. I even have not something against Macs in any respect. in reality, i'm especially inspired by the present Macbooks. in case you prefer the Microsoft working equipment, the Dell Vostro pc has been my modern p.c.. for ultimate value for lowend laptops. for my section, you're comparing apples to oranges. they don't evaluate to one yet another as they the two have different reward. My expert opinion: Macbooks - good (equipped on Unix platform), sturdy courses, basic, greater inflexible standards, better video modifying means, ability to run XP virtually (employing utility). Dell Vostro - Comes with XP or Vista, versatile with utility, a super number of hardware techniques, affordable. i decide to advise you talk on your instructors first and ask what they are going to be employing. finally, you will locate much less problems in case you whichever platform they're employing.

you're not very demanding in the way of system performance so it's good enough for what you're trying to do.

i have heard complaints that some of the newer ipods require the latest version of itunes....which in turn require the latest edition of the mac os
(i'm a windows guy so i'm not that involved with it but i've heard the complaints)

Wow! You found a great price for that iBook. This should be fine on your computer, it should keep its speed up, you don't really have a lot of things/programs to put onto it so it sounds great. I'd say go for it!

I don't think this is what you want. It is pretty outdated. Plus, it's used, which is never good. You'd be better off paying a little more and getting one from dell or something.
