When my kids were little and did this, I used rubbing alcohol and it came right up..then used a HotWater Cloth and wiped it off..It may depend on the kind of wood it is, Im not sure.
I remember using windex a few times to get crayon marks off the door..
Hope this helps some..

Goo Gone should work on both the markers and the crayon w/o damaging the wood.

the crayon should come off with just some rubbing, maybe try Mr Clean magic eraser. for the marker, if it stained into the wood there's no fix, if it didn't a little lighter fluid may work. like zippo lighter fluid, use sparingly with a rag and rub.

Get one of those Mr. Clean magic erasers. Those things are amazing. I got permanent marker off my wooden kitchen table with one. Be careful not to rub too hard, as it could take the finish with it!

I've found that goo gone works well on crayon marks, and rubbing alcohol gets even sharpie marks off. But it might leave the wood looking dry, so you might want to polish it after.

You may want to try hairspray. That's what I used when my little boy used a black marker on my mahogany desk and the wall panelling. It also worked for the lipstick he marked on the bedspread. Spray it on. Then wipe it off with a damp cloth after a few seconds. Worked for me.
