Do you have nothing better to do? Do you learn something in the process? Do you like to share your knowledge? Or what is your reason for doing that. Be honest please.

All of the above. I'm learning to live alone after years of being afraid to, because I started to believe the liars in my life who said such negative things about my mind. I find that I do know, from experience, a lot of 'useless' information (unless you need to know it) and that there is a whole world out 'there' where something I know may actually make a difference. I also have a lot of 'time' on my hands and little cash to do things with, especially in winter when it's cold outside. Looking at other answers, and their questions reminds me that I was right after all ... we are alike under the skin, have the same fears, joys, problems and hopes ... which gives me a great deal of hope for a better world for all of us.

I really enjoy sitting down for a few minutes and doing what I call "brain gym" with Yahoo Answers. And I love to write, so anything to do with words and ideas is interesting for me. I have another side as well. I want to share my ideas and also help others with my input. I've gone through a lot of the trials and tribulations that people ask questions about, and especially, when I get a thankful response, it really touches me. This is the age of information and I see great advantages to this. If I had this resource when I was younger, I really could have used viewpoints and opinions from others. But I had to tough it out alone! I guess, truthfully, helping anyone in any small way, makes my time spent here more valuable to me. I don't spent a lot of time here, but when I do, it's really relaxing and rewarding!

I work online, and I use yahoo questions and answers to take a break from the monotony. I also have gotten some good answers to a few real questions I've had...and I feel like I may have returned the favor a few times. The only problem I have with this Yahoo Q+A is that many people use it as a forum to spread their bigotry and hatred...but the internet is a breeding ground for such stuff....anyway I like it, in a word FUN!

I have always been a knowledge junkie. Giving it and receiving it.
Plus everyone has an opinion or something they could share that might be relevant to someone else's life. This forum brings the questions and answers together. It was a great idea.

as quickly as you have picked an amazing answer or one has been chosen for you, you cant. have faith me I even have tried. I even have asked some distinctly stupid questions that i'm embarrassed of. yet they develop into the valuables of Yahoo and we haven't any administration over it. the only subject you ought to do could be create a pair faux debts then locate your question and record it. They then might get rid of the question. i'm questioning approximately doing this.

Most times I only look at the answers for I find them funny. Now and then I find some answers interesting and want to know more about the person who made it, and if possible engage their minds. Other times I find them irritating, or intriguing enough I end up dishing my own. Like this one...

I find that I get alot of snappy remarks or senselss jargon.
but it's the one answer that you choose out of 20 or so that really makes the difference. Some people choose the stupidist one though. so who knows. some really far fetched stories and questions on here relating to products/services etc
