Only if you intend to eat them afterwards - hunting faeries for game is legal, but hunting them for sport is not. It also depends on what kind of boots you're wearing - combat and steel-toed boots are heavier than (and crush more quickly), say, dress boots, and are therefore the more humane, and thus legal, method.
At least that's the law in Neverneverland - check your local Mythological Creatures statutes.

well, fairies don't exist. Hate 2 break it 2 ya... y'd u want 2 crush them ne way? It would B so awesome if fairies were alive. I'd keep one in my room. That is, if my cousin doesn't steal it!

Yes they do but be very careful to hurt a fairy is very bad. The others will hunt you down and make your life miserable.

I don't think they have any legally recognized rights as such, so I guess you could go ahead and crush one with your boot. BUT, you're likely to incur the wrath of all the rest of their troups and be in deep crapola for it.
