I have no idea....but your question did remind me of a time when the chart mattered.
I remember when Englebert Humperdink was at number one with 'Please Release Me'. It was a good song...sung by a good performer. It stopped another record getting to the number one spot...a record that never did get to the top.
It was by a little known band called The Beatles. It was a double A-side single...Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever. Probably the best pop single ever recorded...anytime...anywhere.
So I like your question...I just can't get excited about the answer. There once was a time when the chart really meant something...
