The devices were glow in the dark and lit up. The folks tasked with protecting us surely cannot be so stupid as to think these were bombs. I think there are whole lot of law enforcement officers bored and looking for some action.

What say you? Am I off my rocker...or are they?

Given they had been there for two weeks already it wasnt just mishandled but completly bungled.

Bombs dont have big bright flashing led displays that say 'Im am a bomb'. If I were making bombs (i dont by the way) then Id be pretty damn careful about loose wires and unsupported battery connections.

In fairness to the bomb dispoal people, they have to make the decision. They take the risks. They are the ones sent home with body parts missing if they get it wrong.

Also, if I were to decide on any advertising campaign then Id tell the authorities first....permission is quite likey needed.

This is definately a comedy of errors.

A dipstick stupid advertising agency secretly placing glowing, off-color gimmick adds all over 10 U.S. Cities.

Cops missing them in nine cities and going berserk over them in one. Do I think the cops over-reacted? Yes. But the ad agency should have informed them of the placement of the ads.

I think the law enforcement handled it as well as can be expected. Personally I think that cartoon stinks and should be banned.

I think that they overreacted, then in the other 10 cities they put them it, how come others haven't been noticed?
