I've been on Spiro for 2 1/2 months now to clear up acne caused by getting off birth control. I have been very careful to chart my cycle becuase it's bad to get pregnant while on Spiro. So It's about ovulation time for me and I have brownish red discharge. I've never had that before, but I guess is can be normal? Can Spiro be causing this? Should I be worried?

Spiro causes spotting, and periods that are closer together. Usually it is taken *with* birth control pills to prevent this, but you appear to be wanting off of them. Your face will glow but like anything else you take, there can be side effects. Don't go without a pantyliner.

No, you shouldn't be worried. DO, however, remember to drink lots of water. Spiro can dehydrate ya if you aren't mindful of that. No potassium supplements either -- not even in a multivitamin.
