hey everyone. i'm looking for some sort of exercises that i can do to take a couple inches off my waist. i began watching what i eat, and i want to know how to tighten up some areas on my body. Most likely i would like to tighten up my abdomins, and i want to strengthen my legs for the upcoming track season. Also, i'm going to florida in 8 weeks, and i would like to look, and feel great in a bikini. Any help you can give is so helpful..THANKS =]

OK, I'm going to tell it like it is, because when you're talking weight loss and getting into shape, that's the only way to go. Right, now that I've got that out of the way, let me get started: if you want to tighten up your waist, then you're going to want to focus on losing bodyfat in general. The best way to do this, in my opinion, is to do high intensity, short duration exercises which cause your metabolism to go into overdrive for long after your exercise has ended. Think doing some high intensity sprints, or ask someone about squatting at the gym. Also, try jumping rope. What I'm saying might sound unconventional, but you really gotta send your body a message that you're serious, and you want to mix things up a bit. Don't let your exercise routine get too routine - keep your body guessing, keep the intensity high, and you'll be dropping those last few stubborn pounds in no time. Come back in 8 weeks and let us know how everything went.

Sit-ups and crunches are the best bet for the abs and waist. The old fashion way still works great. Try 3inch leg lifts for your legs (ya know where you lay down and hold your heels 3 inches off the ground for a count of 10 and that equals 1) running and cycling are great for both your waist and legs, that way you knock both out with one workout. Eat right and walk 3 miles every day.

Leave some love handles...people in Florida loves them.

If you want to lose weight and make your legs stonger, you need to run and do crunches. Running to melt all that fat from your waist and to build strong legs, and crunches to tone and get abs and to lose all that extra weight.
