You should look up your Service Tag on your Dell notebook. Then Visit the Dell website at http://www.dell.com and go to the service section. Type in your Service Tag, then go to the Drivers section. Look for Sound Card drivers for Windows Vista.

I'm telling you - it's too early to be using vista - you are the guinea pig...... nothing but problems and fixes. Maybe you can reinstall your sound card driver. I hope your computer is Vista compatible - Optimum - dual-core processor, 1 gig of ram and a hefty video card......

Insure the sound drivers are installed. IF they are, the sound driver may not be compatable with VISTA. Welcome to the world of VISTA.
