I think jobs should be given to the person most qualified. Not the person most qualified of that race group.

Other than that I have no beef.

Overall the program negates the essence of the business philosophy that successful companies prosper while unsuccessful ones go out of business. Success shouldn't be driven by race but rather performance.

1. Has promoted the establishment of minority owned front companies that perform no work but accept fees on the basis of their minority status for the sole purpose of meeting a set goal.
2. Has completely failed in training minority business owners how to successfully manage their business after providing them the opportunity to obtain work.
3. Fosters racism by setting varying % goals based on specific races. A typical total goal for a contract might be Dbe 10%, Mbe 5%, Wbe 3% with constraints of meeting the goal strictly adhering to the specific % of each instead of the total % of the goal.

cons -

could promote more racism against minorities because whites get jealous/resentful of it.

whites could think minorities aren't as capable, even if they are. they could say "oh, they just got that job because of AA."

the whole reverse racism thing, where whites might have a hard time getting a job or whatever because they're not a minority.

People can only say no. If you don't try you'll never know.

It's better than negative action.

Because I say so.
