Or is that just a stupid idea? I have some old 128Mb sticks that I was thinking about using so I don't have to buy new RAM. Will this even work? If it does work, will it be super slow?

PC100 is SDRAM, PC1600 is DDR SDRAM, the two are completely different sizes, so it won't even fit.

Don't do it unless you like bleeping. My rule is: You can go down, but not up. Usually works. like pc133 for pc100.
