Ok, let's not panic, everyone.

Your nails aren't dying. I've done the same thing to my toe nails, just kept adding thin layers and I'm still alive to answer your question.....so, let's move on..... : )

Just remove the nail polish with polish remover, no big deal. And then, soak your nails for 5-10 minutes in lemon juice or if you want faster results, put some bleach on a Q-tip and apply to each nail for only a couple of minutes (no longer than 2-3). That should bleach your nails back to their normal color. Thoroughly wash your hands and nails, to remove the juice (or bleach), then apply some vitamin-enriched hand lotion (both the lemon juice and the bleach are very drying).

It sounds like your nails aren't clean, when you add the newest layer.....and maybe some flotsom and jetsom on your nails are altering the color.....just a thought.

I believe that after a period of time, nail polish CAN make your nails brittle; I think the cheap stuff is the main culprit. Anyway, I see no harm in constantly wearing nail polish, I used to, all the time, and my nails are fine. : )

Good luck!!

I change my nail polish every week, for about three years. . . I just think that you should see doctor, because I never head of that before. . . Of course there are tons products that help weak nails,or any problems with nails, especially in Wal-Mart. Still it will be better off if you had an appointment as soon as you can.

First, go buy a clear coat of hardening nail polish (sally Hansen or something like that is good.) Then fill up a little bowl with warm water and a tablespoon of lemon juice.(make sure you don't have any cuts! owww!) The lemon juice will get rid of discoloration. You can also get nail polish from Yves Rocher (google it!) that protects nail polish from discoloring your nails.

If you use bright red or a deep burgundy you have to use a base coat, otherwise your nails will get horribly stained. Sounds like this is what happened to you. even if you don't use dark colors, but keep them painted all the time, they'll stain a nasty yellow color.

Give your nails a break for a week or two. Let it grow out.

First get nail polish remover and remove all existing nail polish. Then soak your fingertips in warm water for a few minutes. File then repaint using a clear basecoat.

Dark nail polish colors WILL stain the nails.

Prevent / lessen this by wearing a clear base coat.

Black nails with a Royal Blue dot on each nail.Or in case you get them finished professionally you may desire to get another layout so as that your nails have the two colours. Do the comparable for you feet yet purely use black by using fact the layout shade and Blue by using fact the backside shade.

Try cleaning your nails with lemon juice or baking soda. Before you apply a color polish, use a clear base-coat first. It will go away.

are you using a clear coat of polish before applying the color? if not i would suggest that you do. go to your local manicurist. they should be able to buff away some of the discoloration. and try just using clear for a while.
