Only if there was going to be some kind of life in the future... maybe an alien spaceship full of a new human speices that were unable to inflict pain and destruction on others!
If this was the case then everything we left behind would obviously have some meaning to the new people and it would help them... I think! (or would it hinder them?) Hmmm... It all depends... As far as end of civilisation goes, no, nothing no one did would mean a dam thing, unless it earnt you brownie points for the after life!
