coolness under pressure and intelligence, because they allow for good decision making in chaotic circumstances. Its the difference between the great ones (Montana, Brady, Elway, etc.) and the ones who could be great (Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Peyton Manning, Mike Vick).

The ability to perform under pressure. To drive down the field with 2 minutes left in the ballgame, and win it with a touchdown. You have to have poise to do that, especially when it's playoff time. I think Tom Brady has this quality. In the regular season, he's beatable, but in the playoffs, he can really make you pay if he's down by 6 with a minute left. Even against the Colts, did you see Brady. He was marching downfield in the last drive, to win, until he made just one mistake, and that did it. But Brady is 12-2 in the playoffs, and there's a reason for that.

Composure under pressure. So many times you see QBs crack in the 4th quarter or in crucial games, when they make terrible decisions or throw the ball away while being hit for a pick or more decisions that a veteran would be shocked that he could make. You can't measure someone's composure. I hate the patriots, but i think Tom Brady has the most composure. With his playoff record and 4th quarter comebacks, he comes through when the pressure is on.

The ability to work hard even after they have had great seasons. A QB needs to have a good work ethic to not only get better, but to also set an example for his teamates. Tom Brady stays good and seems to get better every year, so I think he is the best one.

Hard work ethic. And the best is Peyton manning. He doesn't have the strongest arm or the best accuracy, but he's the best because he works harder than anyone else.
Gotta love Favre though,. i'm a die hard packer fan!!!!
