I agree.
Che Guevara was a great man. He had the interests of the people in his heart and on his mind.
I don't think socialism works, but he did, and it's what he believed in. He fought for what he believed in, and that right there is a big plus in my book.
Unfortunately, it has become "cool", even among young people who don't understand what Che was fighting for. A lot of these kids aren't even socialist or communist, they just think it's cool to be "radical".
My message to them is this: You wearing a shirt with Che Guevara on it is like me wearing a shirt with Milton Friedman on it. It's a statement of your socio-economic beliefs, but it doesn't make you or me as smart as the men on our shirts, and it's not really all that "cool".

Che tried to make things better, he was young and wrong, but still believed...If he had lived, Castro would have been tempered by Che's influence. Castro liked him and respected him and Che was a revolutionary 1st and a Communist 2nd...the world needs a Che once in a while....however, the tee shirt thing is stupid

I don't believe in socialism or Communism.
I use to be extremely anti-Che and use to dismiss him as a regular communist. However now I am begining to realize Che wasn't that bad at all. I am sure if he could be resurected today he would hate Fidel Castro for what Cuba is now.
He died for what he believed in. But he may have harmed latin america, perhaps permanently.

I love this quote about Che, from The American Spectator magazine:
"Che Guevarra is a cultural icon because of his capacity to provoke empathy among the spoiled youth of the affluent West."

In my humble opinion, no, but it may be the closest they come to thinking.. so, we gotta give 'em credit for at least trying.
I don't know if you are aware of this, but went Special Forces soldiers into Africa in the 60s to combat the spread of communism there and Che was one of Cuba's boys there.
My Uncle went there as an SF soldier and helped send a few of Che's boys to their earthly reward a bit earlier than they had planned.
Che was a criminal piece of garbage and anyone who wears that shirt is either ignorant, or... ignorant...
