Macs are beautiful powerful machines that are very well made and generally look and work stunningly these days. many of the features of Vista were, ummm, 'inspired' by the current Mac OS X (10). Apple are the leader of style, design, form and function.

That said, just about everything for a PC is cheaper, easier to find, cheaper and easier to update and there is a whole heap more software and parts (and variety of software and parts) available for anything PC.

This is because the PC has around 90% of the market place and the Mac and other the rest.

So... if you want to work on graphics, edit video or do other such stuff a Mac is probably the way to go. If you just want to plug in a webcam, Play games, surf the net, do MS Office stuff then i would get a PC - just because it is way cheaper and more compatible with the rest of the world. Just compare the availability & price of accessories (say printers and webcams) for Mac vs PC and availability of game titles (PC vs Mac) and it will help you make the right choice for you.

It you are into sexy and don't mind paying a premium for it, than get a Mac.

Personally I would own both if i could.

Macs are only wanna-be pcs now, It's an intel with no bios, and forced to use os x (freebsd based -linux). There really is no reason what so every for one now adays. Vista is having issues and running games slower then xp. bf2 is NOT for macs, it never was and never will be a gaming machine. The prove is simple, goto any computer store, wal-mart, k-mart, etc...what type of computer is all the software for?

Erm, check some news first about vista. Gaming is not quite supported yet because of the pesky parental control. Just wait till the games have vista compatibility patches.
