Currently the Prince of Wales (not whales!) is Prince Charles the eldest son of the Queen and next in the line of succession to the throne. It is not an automatic title, but one that the Monarch (i.e. the current Queen) traditionally bestows on eldest son when he reaches adulthood. So while he was next in line when he was a child/teen he was not made Prince of Wales until he was about 21. If and when he becomes King, it is very likely that he would then make William then next Prince of Wales. Sometimes you will see the press refer to Charles, William and Harry as "the Waleses" but it is not a family name or title though as I said it is probable that William will one day have that title.

Are you asking about a prince of whales or HRH The Prince of Wales?

Why are some people so uneducated?

Why can't they tell the difference between "Wales", the country, and "whales", the sea creatures?
