I won't go see it. I don't find Idi Amin interesting.

I go to movies once to twice a week and its rarely that Im blown away - Im quite critical. Suffice to say I was enthralled. I think James McAvoy is a great talent and Forrest just was Idi. Again I very rarely buy movies also, but I think i will spash out on release day.

Everything was right about it - I couldnt pick a fault - from the costume to the way Africa looked (prob the same today as back then!). Some of the scenes were harrowing and this made for powerful veiwing. Kevin MacDonald deserves an award - his other film Touching the void was also very real.

Much as I like Forrest Whittaker, I though it was nothing special.

Really low budget, actually.

The guy is on a bus in Africa, He gets talking to a young African woman who is sitting next to him. They fancy each other, so when she gets off, he gets off too, and gives her one. In Africa? ... yeah, right!!

It was quite interesting seeing the REAL footage of Idi on the big screen though. especially his EYES. Right at the end.
