I have my account encrypted with a password (the one when u first start up windows and it give a link for a "hint"......well it just gives you the password right there!!! Can I change this or what?

I haven't set the hint as the same as the password either!!!! The key word here is "possible!"

Sounds like you may have set the "hint" to the same as the password. Go to the user account settings in the control panel and manage your password and your hints there.

You have to type in the hint you want it to use I think. This would be known many years ago I think if this was a real security issue with Windows XP.
