i could have ignored the vote on the conflict, or on Bush. electorate rejected applicants. it incredibly is supposition despite the over all message substitute into. And in basic terms 10% (at maximum) of electorate replaced place in any respect. it incredibly is not any landslide, regardless of the pundits who made considered one of those fuss over the outcomes. The chop up was once fifty 5/40 5, and in that election 10% moved any incorrect way, so the chop up substitute into 40 5/fifty 5 in the Democrats prefer. So what? a ten% circulate means little or no, in attitude. Bush and the Republicans in basic terms ever had a slender lead in help, and now the Democrats have that slender lead (or did, in that election besides).

This sums up the Republicans 2006 Election strategy pretty well:

"You still have to vote for us 'cause my opponent is a slug, and they're going to tax you into the poorhouse. On the way to the poorhouse, you'll meet a terrorist on every street corner. And when you try to run away from that terrorist, you will trip over an illegal immigrant.'" --Former President Bill Clinton, on the Republicans' 2006 campaign formula

Those answers make it clear... not that the whole US didn't know about them already! Basically the Republicans lost because everything failed and they couldn't fix anything.
