Would your feelings about global warming change if it could be shown that humans didn't cause it?

If you watch the news you will learn that the vast majority of scientists emphatically agree that we are entering a period of global warming that is caused, in significant part, by mankind. There are a lot of things we can do about it, like reducing greenhouse gas emissions for example. It wouldn't hurt the United States to get a jump on the rest of the world and use our high technology to start switching to other energy sources. Unless you really like buying your oil from the Middle East and Venezuela.

We didn't cause it. It's a myth. Men are a very minute piece of the earth's puzzle.

If "men" cause global warming, who then was to blame for the global warming that ended the last ice age???

If the problem remains the same, and the result is disasterous both for humans and other life on the plant, shouldn't humans take steps to solve the problem regardless of the cause?

Humans ARE the cause of our current global warming. We have exceeded the natural level of carbon dioxide variation in the atmosphere at any known time in the earth's past. Yes, there is some natural variation. We've shot way above any "natural" level, and it's rising exponentially.

There was one natural-caused massive release of carbon dioxide, 55 million years ago, when magma from deep in the earth's crust rose to meet massive deposits of natural gas in the ocean's floor - the resulting massive KA BOOM deep on the ocean's floor caused rapid climate change - about 2000 gigatons of carbon was released into the atmosphere and altered all life on earth.

most proberly yes as its just the feeling that it is all down to us the all living things could come to an end. but if it isnt for us my feelings would change cos its not us doing it all :D
