I have xp and It will not let me go further . my neice messed with it
I tried my internet password and user name but it says no match . I never put anything for windows

It is possible that someone else has inserted a password. There are rare times the XP registry is corrupted.
To bypass , start the system and press F8 button in the keyboard every one sec and you should come to the Windows Advanced Menu Options, choose safe mode, you need to know the administrator pswd, or press enter if there is no pswd.
After logged in, click start then control panel- user accounts and delete the password from the account you need. then restart the system in normal mode and everything should be OK.

It is not your "internet password" it is your Windows authentication. Try Administrator as the user, and do not type a password. Just hit Enter and see if that works.

Based on what you typed, try just pressing enter or OK (whichever option is there) and see if that gets you by it. Did you setup any user names or passwords? If you haven't, that should get you by it if it just suddenly popped up. Also, try and find out what your neice messed with. That might help. Any more info would help.

restart your computer,and after the first screen flash tap on the "F8" key.you will come to a black screen.scroll up and click on "SAFEMODE".wait a few minutes until you come to the blue logon screen.click on "ADMINISTRATOR"and to the YES OR NO QUESTION click"YES".this will bring you to the desktop.once there, on the START MENU click"RUN",and type "CONTROL PANEL".at the bottom of this page click on "USER ACCOUNTS".you can remove any pasword here.just click on any users name,and choose a task to perform.when you are finished here you can create a password for this ADMINISTRATORS ACCOUNT" so that no one else will be able to come here and change your settings.

Because I have a name, doesn't mean I'm "something". I already existed before I had a name. People are the ones who give names to others and things.. but those things already existed. Humans like to give the world they live in a certain shape. It makes it easier to remember things and to accept things. Go to : Start | Settings | Control Panel | User Accounts | Change the way Users Log on. Select Use the Welcome Screen.

She's set it for you to log on securely. (I assume you have to hit control/alt/delete and then you're at a logon screen?)
If you haven't changed the defaults, log on as "administrator" and leave the password blank. If that fails, try "owner", again with a blank password.
