what goes on during holy week in punta cana. is it a safe time to travel and what restrictions or things are limited during this time period. any info regarding this time is appreciated

Holy week (Easter week) in PC is as safe as any other time to travel.
HOWEVER - during holy week there are no motorized water sports or certain land-based active activities, such as ATV's. Those are the only restricted activities. All other resort activities are in full swing.

It i a good time to travel, lots of people go to the beach on that week, usually the climate is sunny on April and is out of hurricane season.
