There are some pretty sick muslims out there. I haven't seen many Catholics, Lutherans, or Protestants strapping explosives to themselves and blowing themselves up on a bus or in the middle of an outdoor market. Give me a break.

Hating someone is an easy thing to do. We naturally fear what is different from us, and it is a simple thing to turn fear to hatred. In a society that has been bombarded with messages of fear for going on 6 years now, is it any wonder that there are those among us that would turn that fear into hatred?
Sure, Iraq didn't attack us, and Saddam posed pretty much no threat whatsoever to us. And maybe there were no WMD, or biological agents. Some might even go so far as to say that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorists at all...
So with all that evidence do you see why we needed to go to Iraq? We had to find the non-existent invisible WMD. We had to stop Saddam from shaking his fist angrily, and thinking about his loss back in the 90's. The fine republicans at Halliburton needed to make some more money. Hatred, making money, and finishing what daddy started, the back bones of republican policy.

Neither Republicans nor Democrats hate Muslims. Americans don't hate Muslims. We hate terrorist! As far as most Americans are concerned; we never paid much attention to them until 9/11.
We knew that Israel had a problem with them, but Israel seemed to be able to handle whatever they threw at them so it wasn't our problem. Of course, we didn't like what they did to our Marines in Lebanon. But they too were terrorist, fanatics. If they had left us alone, we certainly would have left them alone. Iraq is another matter. Our war in that country has nothing to do with religion.

Iraq had violated 17 UN resolutions. The U.S. could not sit idly by while the threat Iraq posed grew with each passing month. We could not passively monitor the situation forever. By taking the same action that the UN threatened Iraq with, we kept the UN from being an irrelevant joke.
Republicans honor and respect Muslims. Liberals do not. Let me prove my point.
Bush and the Republicans are giving other countries freedom of choice. That is what democracy is all about. Fledgling democracies like Afghanistan and Iraq write their own laws, they make their own policies. If, like Iraq, they make tenets of the Islamic religion part of their constitutions, we may not like it, but we don't put undue pressure on them. The Iraqis didn't make a clone of the U.S. Constitution. They made one that they could live with.
Republicans, on the other hand trusts the capacity of the Middle Easterners for self rule. Liberals do not. Here's the proof.
Bush once made the remarkable statement about "the soft bigotry of low expectations". I want you to remember that quote. Think about what he is saying. I've talked to a lot of liberals about the war in Iraq, and when I bring up the obvious point that millions of people have now been given the opportunity to live in freedom rather than tyranny, they mindlessly object with silly, irrelevant arguments.
If I chide them enough, and make them hot under the collar, they will finally lose all control and exclaim, "Oh come on, you don't really expect that a bunch of volatile, irrational Arabs can handle democracy, do you?"
Whoa......! That's what liberals really think. They don't have confidence in Middle Easterners. They belive Arabs and Persians are ignorant and backward, incapable of ruling themselves without a strong dictator like Saddam keeping them in line.
Bush did not denigrate the people of the Middle East with the "soft bigotry of low expectations". Unlike the Democrats, he believes in their potential. He does not arrogantly belive that they can't handle democracy.
Republicans are the most progressive thinkers regarding foreign nations' ability to design and administer their own democratically elected governments, with free speech, rights for women, and guaranteed human rights.
Liberals only see a bunch of scary, fist pumping ragheads.
So, who's the real friend to Muslims?

Not Muslims. Islamic terrorists. And the Libs once claimed to hate them, too. And FYI - many of your glorious liberal leaders gave two thumbs up for the US to go into Iraq, as well. And just like a Lib, now that things are getting tough, they are trying to back paddle...cuz that's how they get votes.
The irony of it all. (sigh)

Not all Republicans hate Muslims. I'd say that the reason they aren't fond of them is because Muslims are taught to kill non-believers. That would be the Americans.
The Iraqi people didn't attack us, the Iraqi dictators were the ones who did because they are evil people (if you can call them people, seeing as how they are so inhumane) that want to slaughter every person who doesn't agree with every word they say.

You said Republicans hate muslims. You're generalizing because Dubya and the Saudis make business.
Iraq is not attacked because republicans hate muslims but because Dubya wants oil.
As you can see everything is about Dubya who wants money.

"iraq did not attack us"
Neither did the Muslims. It was Islamic terrorists.
Try and put his in your long term memory - it was Islamic terrorists, not Muslims.
Got it?
