...for a 16 year old (like me) to hate marriage so much i thought about not getting married at all. i don't think it's stupid but i do think it's pointless. i mean, both of you (partners) are happy for like, i dont know, maybe 10 years..have kids, and suddenly love starts to disappear.

Does not happen to all, but you are certainly very perceptive of what happens to many.

This tends to happen a lot because people don't grow together... and also because people rush into things. Everyone is ready to get married at such a young age, when you are still changing and figuring out who you are and what you want out of life. You can't possibly find someone you want to share your life with, when you dont know who you are yet, and neither do they. People's wants and needs change throughout their lives.
Marriage can be a wonderful thing, if you respect it enough to know that it is a symbol of your everlasting love, and that it shouldn't be taken lightly.
The fact that people are getting divorced so much now is not because "jesus is not present in marriage" or whatever someone said earlier. That's ridiculous. I think if Jesus was present at those people's weddings, I'm pretty sure it still wouldn't have mattered. They would have still ended up unhappy.
My main point here is that people no longer view marriage as such a sanctioned, holy bond. It's so easy to get divorced in our time, that most people don't think it's a big deal. So people fall in love, get married, become unhappy in 5-10 years, and don't want to work at solving their problems, so they just divorce.
I understand in certain situations, divorce can be necessary, but I think mostly it's just people's unwillingness to work out their problems, it's much easier to get rid of a problem, than to solve it.
Don't be discouraged though... just because marriage isn't working out well for everyone, or other people, doesn't mean that you can't make it work. I know many couples well into their 80's who are extremely happy with their husband/wife.
You just have to make sure you pick the right woman, and be sure that you could dedicate yourself to her for life.
Good luck.

You are still young. When you meet someone and really FALL in love and want to be with that someone forever, you will change your mind. It's not necessary to be married to have kids, but a family is what you owe to the child. Marriage is a job, a 24 hour job, you have to work at it, alot of people just give up. There are many couples that live together married for 50 to 60 yers!!!

Yes, it is normal. It seems like from your comment that your parents are divorced and well that has an affect on children. One day you will change your mind and just try to learn from their mistakes and remember to never let love disappear. The truth is love is not something that will last forever if both people do not take time to respect and show each other they love each other.

Yes its normal for you to have your opinions about marriage. But not all marriage fail. You have to give 50/50 in a marriage for it to work. A little advice to you when the time comes and you fall in love take your time to make sure that their the one you want to spend the rest of your life with alot of marriage fail because they werent done exploring if you know what I mean.

I was having similar thoughts. I have the same view about dating. Why date someone when you know inside that you arent going to marry them later. Why even date untill you are at least 20? See what I mean? But at least it would be nice while it lasted, I guess.

Yes, it's normal. I thought the same way when I was 16. Now, I'm living with someone and consider us married, but we're doing the whole wedding and other bunk later 'cause who doesn't like gifts?!

At 16 I wouldn't even worry yourself about marriage. Some marriages are great some aren't. You can control your own destiny.

When you grow up, get an education, enjoy girls/ladies for the beauty and brains, you will be a smarter guy. Right now you are entitled to earn the TURD OF THE MONTH AWARD.
